nickel alloy monel 400

Monel 400 Material Datasheet

Monel® 400 is a nickel-copper alloy (about 67% Ni 23% Cu) that is resistant to sea water and steam at high temperatures as well as to salt and caustic solutions. Monel® 400 is a solid solution alloy that can only be hardened by cold working. This nickel alloy exhibits characteristics like good corrosion resistance, good weldability and high strength.

Monel 400® is a popular nickel-copper alloy that is hardened via cold working. It exhibits high strength, excellent resistance to a variety of acidic and alkaline environments, and good ductility and thermal conductivity. Monel 400® is suitable for temperatures ranging from subzero to 1,000°F (538°C). Monel 400® is unique among the Monel® family of alloys, as it is a puritan alloythat is, it contains the same proportions of nickel alloy 400 - Special Metals CorporationMONEL ® alloy 400 specialmetals MONEL® nickel-copper alloy 400 (UNS N04400/ W.Nr. 2.4360 and 2.4361) is a solid-solution alloy that can be hardened only by cold working. It has high strength and toughness over a wide temperature range and excellent resistance to many corrosive environments. Composition is shown in Table 1.

Nickel Alloy 400, Monel® 400 - Continental Steel & Tube

Nickel Alloy 400, Monel® 400. Monel 400 is well known for its high strength and corrosion resistant properties. It works in a wide range of temperatures, and is available in multiple forms for a variety of products. Monel 400 is used extensively in (for pipe) piping. Resistant to both steam and seawater, its toughness and anti-corrosive properties make it perfect for heavy duty applications such as transfer
